Old Timberline Trail

21.4 kmCoarse gravel and compacted earth.Cambray Siding to Nannup

A mix of cross-country and rail trail through jarrah forest in St Johns Brook Conservation Park, following the formation of a former Kauri Timber Company tramway that served the Barrabup Mill. About 97km south of Bunbury, and managed by the WA Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions.

Cambray Siding to Barrabup Pool: rail formation, then steep, gravelly single-track down towards the Sleeper Hewers Hut campsite, with a footbridge over the brook at Barrabup Pool (picnic spot). Barrabup Pool to Workmans Pool: follows St Johns Brook. Workmans Pool to Nannup Foreshore Park: heads east through jarrah forest and crosses the old railway bridge over the Blackwood River, where the trail separates from the Munda Biddi Trail and Sidings Rail Trail. The track can be single-width with loose sand, rocks and roots, and trail markers are easy to miss. Better suited to walking or mountain biking than rail-trail riding.
