Wadandi Track (Busselton to Carbunup River)
15.45 kmFormed shared path/rail trail surface, flat grade typical of an old railway line.Busselton Jetty to Carbunup River
The northern section of the Wadandi Track, following the old Busselton to Flinders Bay railway (closed 1957) from the iconic Busselton Jetty (the longest wooden jetty in the Southern Hemisphere, 1,841m) out to Carbunup River. Named after the Wadandi people, Traditional Owners of the land. IMPORTANT: this section is currently NOT physically connected to the southern section further along the old rail corridor (see sibling entity, Wadandi Track - Cowaramup to Sebbes Road) - a $17.5 million State Government-funded project (2024-25 to 2027-28) will eventually complete the missing 63km between the two sections, extending the whole trail to 109km from Busselton to Augusta, but this is not yet built. One rider review notes this section links up with paths at Vasse that continue out to the coast, allowing a scenic circular route of about 30km back to the jetty if combined with the coastal shared path. Watch for unsignposted stretches through West Busselton suburbia.
Busselton Jetty to Vasse: through Busselton and West Busselton suburbia (signage can be patchy here - some riders have needed to rely on GPS/maps through this stretch). Vasse to Carbunup River: continues through farmland toward Carbunup River, roughly 15km from Busselton Jetty.
